Cook Composites and Polymers has announced a 10 cent per pound price increase for all unsaturated polyester and vinylester resins, and gel coat products will increase 12 cents per pound.

New pricing is effective with shipments made on or after June 30.

Escalating crude oil and natural gas prices continue to drive up the cost of raw materials, packaging, transportation and energy used to produce gel coats, unsaturated polyester and vinylester resins.

“While we acknowledge the impact these costs have on our customers, we unfortunately do not see a decline in the foreseeable future,” the company said in a statement.
