Cook Composites increases prices

Cook Composites and Polymers announced a price increase of 6 cents per pound for all gelcoats and unsaturated polyester resins. In addition, vinylester resins will increase 9 cents per pound.

The new pricing is effective with shipments made on or after Feb. 7.

The recent escalation in raw material costs used to produce these products is the cause for this increase, the company said.

"CCP acknowledges the impact these actions have on our customers and as such continues to implement cost-reduction strategies to help minimize their effect," vice president of sales and marketing Ken Moran said in a statement.
