Cook Composites and Polymers recently announced price increases on several of its products.

An increase of as much as 8 cents a pound for Chempol acrylic and solvent-borne resins is in effect for orders shipped on or after Jan. 10.

"This price change is necessary due to the significant increase in cost of feedstocks and other critical raw materials used in the production of coating resins," said Chris White, director of sales for CCP's coatings division, in a statement.

Also effective for orders shipped on or after Jan. 10 is a price increase of as much as 9 cents a pound for Reafree powder coatings resins.

Effective for shipments on and after Jan. 20, prices will increase as much as 5 cents a pound for all ESI-CRYL and ESI-REZ emulsion polymers, concentrates, and resin solutions, and as much as 4 cents a pound for wax emulsions.

Continued increases in key raw material costs have made this price increase necessary, the Kansas City, Mo.-based company said.
