Couplemate, trailer boats win awards

Couplemate recently received an award at the Specialty Equipment Market Association Show and Trailer Boat magazine named the winners of its annual Excellence in Design Awards.

Couplemate of Australia, and its North America headquarters, received the Global Media Award for its all-new SUV Step at the recent Specialty Equipment Market Association show in Las Vegas.

The SUV Step is designed to provide convenience and support for trailer owners while serving as a safety precaution to prevent potential risk or injury. The SUV Step may be retrofitted on all existing Couplemate base plates.

The product has wide appeal for trailer owners in all market segments, including marine, the company said.

"The SUV Step has a great pedigree and follows in the Couplemate Trailer Guide tradition as both an industry innovator and a recognized award winner," company president Steve Wotherspoon said in a statement.

"We are all extremely pleased by this notable recognition made by leading journalists, especially at the very outset of our new product launch," he added. "It confirms to us that the product has strong consumer appeal and what we anticipate will be solid demand in the international and North American marketplace."
