The International Council of Marine Industry Associations welcomed a new Danish member, the Ship and Boat Builders’ Association.

Taking over from the newly defunct Danboat, the SBBA has 86 members and operates in the framework of the Confederation of Danish Industry.

ICOMIA has 36 members. Danboat ceased operations in September and all assets were transferred to the SBBA.

The name Danboat continues as a working group under the SBBA. It coordinates marketing and boating events in Denmark.

SBBA members include pleasure, fishing and industrial boat builders, as well as sailmakers, repair facilities, marina operators, brokers, equipment manufacturers, and wholesale and service facilities.
