DataTracker: Used-boat inventory by price

datatracker

Boat Trader displayed 101,514 used-boat listings at www.boattrader.com during the 12-month period from Dec. 1, 2012, through Nov. 30, and the category with the most listings — 22,204 — was the price range between $10,000 and $20,000.

The chart at right shows the pricing distribution of the boats, the majority of which (54 percent) were priced at $30,000 or less. The chart also reveals that a significant number— more than a quarter of the boats — were priced above $50,000.

Not included in the chart were the 3,068 used boats listed on Boat Trader with no price, a practice we advise against because it typically reduces the likelihood of a response from a potential buyer.
