Davis Instruments acquired the Simply Brilliant product lines.

Founded in 2003 in Hood River, Ore., Simply Brilliant is composed of two distinct lines for outdoor recreation called Shockles and SolLight. Both are suited for marine, camping, RV and outdoor markets.

"We're excited to provide these products to our distributors and customers. Both lines fit in seamlessly with our other offerings," Bob Selig of Davis Instruments said in a statement.

Shockles is a patented range of shock-absorbing products for outdoor and industrial uses. Most feature sun and abrasion-resistant webbing sewn over progressive-tension design shock cord with a patented internal stretch limiter.

SolLight is an eco-friendly line of LED lighting that includes rail lights, Lightships and SoliChargers.

Based in Hayward, Calif., Davis Instruments offers boating, fishing and weather accessories. In addition to producing navigation aids and weather stations for marine and other industries, the company sells marine cleaners, hardware and accessories.
