Dealer and Distributors

This week’s roundup of dealers and distributors includes news from Jamestown Distributors and Northport Systems.

Rhode Island-based Jamestown Distributors added The Kanberra Group’s Kanberra Gel and Kanberra Spray all-natural air purifiers to its catalog of boating supplies.

Jamestown Distributors has supplied and assisted boaters for more than 30 years, and they really know their stuff,” Kanberra director of business development David Levesque said in a statement. “That is why we are especially proud of our partnership with them. They are a team of boat lovers who only want the best for their customers, so their choice of Kanberra products is significant.”

The company said boaters use its air purifiers inside the cabin and in other areas when they’re on the water and to protect against mold and mildew when the boat is stored in the offseason.

Kanberra said its products are sold around the world through distributors and marine stores and have proved themselves in some of the toughest locations to the most discriminating customers.

Northport Systems said it was selected by Global Navigation Authority as the exclusive Canadian distributor for the LifeJacket line of mountable waterproof iPad cases and accessories.

"Our reach into the Canadian outdoor and marine markets make us the perfect distribution partner for LifeJacket iPad cases," Northport sales manager Amanda Holt said in a statement. “LifeJacket’s high-quality design is unlike any iPad case on the market and sets a new standard for tablet protection. It meets the needs of today’s outdoor enthusiasts and is a natural fit for our existing Fugawi mapping software marine and outdoor customer base.”

Designed to protect iPads in the toughest conditions, LifeJacket cases incorporate cutting-edge design technology that not only features built-in flotation, but is also waterproof to the IPX7 standard and certified to meet the military’s submersion specifications. LifeJacket accommodates all available iPad models and uses stainless-steel hinge pins and non-corrosive materials to protect the tablet from dirt, sand, germs and spills.

“Our Northport System partnership is the perfect complement for our product line,” Global Navigation Authority president Susan Klement said in a statement. “As we see tablets penetrate marine, outdoor, commercial and industrial markets, the LifeJacket provides a waterproof and shockproof solution that stands up to the harshest conditions. Northport System’s service is consistent with the quality of the LifeJacket line — we are confident their extensive customer base will love the LifeJacket case.”

Toronto-based Northport supplies desktop and mobile navigation and mapping software products and online maps, charts and services under the Fugawi and X-Traverse brands.
