Derema Group honored by West Marine

Derema Group, a national marine and sporting goods manufacturers representative organization, was awarded top honors at West Marine’s annual V.I.V. (Very Important Vendor) event.

John Morin, a member of Derema Group’s vendor-managed support team functioning within West Marine in Watsonville, Calif., received "Rep. of the Year" honors for his contributions in building the business from within West Marine. He has won this award three years in a row.

Derema Group was closely associated with two other awards won by manufacturers it represents. Marinco Electrical Group took home “Best Supply Chain” honors, and Taylor Made Products received the “Best Store Sales Support” award.

“We have always been committed to being the best rep group in the nation,” said Chris DeRecat, Derema Group president, in a statement. “To be recognized in this way by West Marine is very gratifying.”
