Discounts offered for Sail America conference

Sail America, the trade association for the U.S. sailing industry, is partnering with the Yacht Brokers Association of America and the Certified Professional Yacht Brokers to offer discount pricing for YBAA and CPYB members at Sail America’s annual industry conference.

The conference is set to take place June 9-11 at the Charleston (S.C.) Harbor Resort and Marina.

"The goal of our industry conference is to bring together important members of our industry to discuss current topics and future ideas in an effort to grow the sailing industry," Sail America association manager Peter Durant saidin a statement. “The addition of YBAA and CPYB members helps to round out this dialogue and helps us attain this goal."

YBAA and CPYB members can attend the Sail America Industry Conference for $395, $100 less than the non-member rate.

Companies that register two or more participants, as well as groups of four or more, also will receive discount offers. Conferees will receive 10 CPYB recertification credits with proof of attendance.

This year’s conference includes such session topics as marketing to millennials, the growth potential of ownership models, diversifying sailing, video advertising, how to use mobile apps to engage a customer base and more.

The conference will feature a regatta, a day and a half of educational sessions and an industry dinner.
