Discover Boating is collaborating with more than 20 bloggers and influencers to share their boating stories, on-water adventures and future boating plans on social networks and blogs this summer.

The influencers are driving readers to DiscoverBoating.com to use the tools and information to help them plan their own boating experiences.

To date, dozens of posts have run on parenting, lifestyle and millennial blogs, helping to raise awareness for Discover Boating, but also inspiring its active reader base to get out on the water, using DiscoverBoating.com as a resource, according to the National Marine Manufacturers Association.

“I kinda hate to admit just how wrong I was about this,” began one blogger on her blog, “Things I can’t say: Tips and tales from an introverted mom.” “Especially since my husband was the one who was right. But, I was oh-so-wrong about boating and boats.”

“You see, I thought we didn’t need a boat and that boating was expensive,” she wrote. “My husband would show me pictures of boats and I’d glance at them, make some sort of noncommittal noise and then go back to whatever it was that I had been doing. But then we went out on a friend’s boat a few times.”

The blogger goes on to tell people that if they’re skeptical, as she initially was, they can get on the water without buying a boat of their own by using DiscoverBoating.com's interactive Go Boating Today Tool.
