Nearly 10 percent of Discover Boating leads went on to purchase a boat this year, and 75 percent of them were first-time buyers, according to a recent report from the National Marine Manufacturers Association.

The report also shows that 34 percent of those leads bought new boats, as opposed to preowned, and 16 percent purchased boats larger than 26 feet. Both of these figures are higher than the industry average.

This means that Discover Boating is creating new customers for all sizes and types of boats, according to the NMMA.
