Dominion releases report with success tips for dealers


Dominion Marine Media, the division of Dominion Enterprises that operates YachtWorld, Boat Trader and, said Thursday that the 2014 MDCE Best Ideas White Paper is now available for download.

The white paper, sponsored by Dominion and produced by Boating Industry magazine, is a collection of 46 of the best ideas, proven by boat dealers from across the United States and Canada, on topics that include business management, customer satisfaction, sales, marketing, events and service departments, Dominion said.

The ideas are meant to serve as a resource for dealers, allowing them to learn from their peers’ success on projects that include mobile app development, effective disaster planning and software. Each featured idea also outlines the implementation process and discusses the ultimate results of the project.

Jonathan Sweet, editor-in-chief of Boating Industry, said the information is culled from hundreds of dealers in the United States and Canada.
