Wisconsin-based Dowco acquired Premier Plastics and Leisure Designs of Hoyt Lakes, Minn.

Dowco manufactures boat covers, bimini tops, enclosures, hardware and accessories for the marine industry, and covers and luggage for the powersports industry.

Premier Plastics is a manufacturer of rotational molded and vacuum-formed plastic components for the marine, powersports and construction industries.

The company operates from a modern 35,000-square-foot facility in Hoyt Lakes and a second facility in Eveleth, Minn.

Leisure Designs, a subsidiary of Premier Plastics, is a manufacturer of marine furniture systems. Its manufacturing operations are in Pine City, Minn.

“We are excited about this acquisition, as it allows us to expand our capabilities with our current customers and it opens doors for Dowco to build relationships with Premier’s strong customer base,” Dowco COO Kevin Rolain said in a statement.

“Dowco has longstanding relationships with many of the leading boat manufacturers and all of the leading powersports manufacturers,” Rolain said. “This will provide more solutions and products to offer our existing and new customers. Throughout the years our customers have asked Dowco to provide innovative plastic components and seating solutions to help solve their product development and manufacturing challenges.
