JMS Naval Architects & Salvage Engineers acquired Roger Long Marine Architecture Inc., the company announced.

The acquisition includes exclusive rights to Maine-based Roger Long Marine’s Challenger class fast research vessels.

Roger Long, his company’s founder and principal designer, will become a senior design consultant to JMS's research vessel design projects.

JMS, of Mystic, Conn., is a specialty maritime engineering firm providing naval architecture, marine engineering, marine surveying and marine casualty response services.
