Environmental group to mark Clean Water Act anniversary

Peconic Baykeeper will host a triple-play gathering for the press and the public Tuesday to honor the 40th anniversary of the Clean Water Act.

The group will announce the release of Baywatch 2012, addressing the extent of pollution in Long Island waters and unveil an important legal initiative, Peconic Baykeeper said in a statement.

“Whether you live, work or play on Long Island, the trifecta of topics on the table Tuesday has real implications for all of us,” the group said.
