Epic set to unveil electric sportboat

Epic Wakeboats will introduce what it says is the world's first electric hybrid sportboat.

The unveiling of the new Epic 23e will be held 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Friday at the Carlsbad Lagoon in Carlsbad, Calif. Attendees will be able to ask questions and go for test rides.

Based in San Diego, Epic Wake boats is the creator of the 23V with 4,000 lbs of stock ballast, "D.R.O.P." zone wake enhancing hull technology, resin-infused all-composite construction, dual rudder vector steer system and 10-speaker transom audio.
