European insurance broker opens Fort Lauderdale office

The group said it has been operating as an independent insurance broker for more than 25 years.

The Suisscourtage Group, a subsidiary of the Monaco-based Pastor Group, said it opened its first U.S. office in Fort Lauderdale for its “Only” insurance brands, consisting of OnlyYacht, OnlyYard and OnlyJet insurance.

Based in Monaco with offices in key global yachting, aviation and wealth hubs, the group said it has been operating as an independent insurance broker for more than 25 years.

Currently operating offices in Antibes, London, Luxembourg, Monaco, Rotterdam, Viareggio, and now Fort Lauderdale, the company advises and assists high-net-worth private clients on insurance needs for yachts, private aircraft and other luxury assets.

“Since our opening, we already are seeing a need being filled in this market,” OnlyYacht U.S. executive director Vincent Huens de Brouwer said in a statement. “As an independent Lloyd’s broker, we have direct access to the world’s largest insurance market, which gives us the opportunity to place and renew our client’s policies at constantly improving terms and rates. This direct access is also the guarantee of high confidentiality appreciated by our clients.”

For the last decade, OnlyYacht has provided superyacht and crew insurance protection, including superyacht loss or damage, liability protection, crew and guest welfare and claim services. The company said it insures 370 yachts, including some of the largest superyachts in the world, and more than 3,000 active crewmembers, and protects more than $6 billion of assets.

OnlyYard covers shipyards and owners against risk of physical damage to superyachts under construction. OnlyJet insures private aircraft for damage to hull, liability to third parties and injury to crew and passengers.

The new office is in Fort Lauderdale’s yachting business district at 777 Southeast 20th St., Suite 210.
