Discover Boating added a Social Room on DiscoverBoating.com to provide greater interaction and dialogue between boating experts, insiders and consumers interested in the boating lifestyle.
The Social Room houses Discover Boating's Facebook, Twitter and Boat TV applications, as well as a new Boating Blog to further illustrate how easy, affordable and enjoyable it is to become a boat owner. The Social Room also allows for visitor feedback and offers a FAQ and advice page to help visitors communicate, share information and interact on a more personalized level with boating experts.
This two-way communication is designed to engage a larger and repeat audience and better connect with interested boat buyers to help guide them through their boat buying and on-the-water experiences.
"As today's media landscape continues to evolve, social media has become an important way for the boating industry to communicate with interested boaters and the existing boating community," said Carl Blackwell, vice president of marketing and communications for the National Marine Manufacturers Association and Grow Boating, in a statement.
"The Social Room makes it easy for site visitors to receive information in real-time, connect directly with boating experts, and share ideas and experiences with fellow boaters and boat buyers," he added.
