Finance company names new sales team

Northpoint Commercial Finance, a newly formed diversified inventory finance company based in Alpharetta, Ga., announced a new sales team.

Vice president of sales Russell Baqir is leading Northpoint’s sales team and is based in the Alpharetta headquarters.

As the former president of Textron Financial’s marine division, Russell has more than 24 years of distribution finance experience in all of the industries Northpoint serves.

In addition to his leadership duties, Russell will cover North Carolina, South Carolina and Georgia.

New directors of business development for various regions are Milt Kirk, Jim Regan, Tommy Fox, Richard Molyneux and Jeff Olander.

Maine-based Kirk has more than 29 years of business development and floorplan finance experience with companies such as International Harvester, Borg Warner, Bombardier and Textron Financial. He will cover Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont, New York, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Connecticut, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Delaware and Maryland.

Alabama-based Regan has 25 years of floorplan finance experience in credit, operations and sales with companies such as ITT, Borg Warner, Bombardier, GE and Textron Financial. He will cover Alabama, Tennessee, Arkansas, Louisiana, Mississippi and Florida.

Cincinnati-based Fox, who joins Northpoint later this month, has 20 years of business development and floorplan finance experience with companies that include ITT, Green Tree, Vanderbilt Mortgage, Textron Financial and Textron (Jacobsen). Fox will cover Ohio, Michigan, Wisconsin, Illinois, Indiana, Missouri, Kentucky, West Virginia and Virginia.

Molyneux also joins Northpoint later this month and will be based in Arizona. He has more than 32 years of floorplan finance experience in credit, operations and sales with companies such as ITT, Green Tree, GE and Textron Financial. Molyneux will cover Arizona, Southern California, New Mexico, Texas, Oklahoma and Kansas.

Nevada-based Olander, senior director of business development, was most recently senior vice president at Textron Financial. He has 29 years of sales management and business development experience with companies such as ITT, Green Tree and Textron Financial. He will cover Nevada, Northern California, Oregon, Washington, Idaho, Montana, Utah, Colorado, Wyoming, Nebraska, South Dakota, North Dakota, Minnesota and Iowa.

As a primary or supplemental financing option, Northpoint’s sales team will strive to “meet the financing needs of retailers and dealers in every possible way, with the primary goal of providing credit lines,” according to Northpoint.
