Florida marine flea market starts Thursday

For the second straight year, the number of vendors registered for the Dania Marine (Fla.) Flea Market has topped 300, organizers announced.

The flea market starts its annual four-day run on Thursday at Dania Jai Alai.

"In today's economy there are few marine-related businesses that do not find themselves with excess, used or outdated inventory and are anxious to liquidate that merchandise," said organizer Al Behrendt, originator of the flea market, in a statement.

"Similarly, there are vast numbers of boaters, fishermen and divers that are searching for bargains on items essential to their boating lifestyle," he added. "Our success over the last 33 years has been bringing buyer and seller together in a unique atmosphere of dickering and dealing."
