Stone was presented with the honor earlier this month at the ICOMIA/IFSO Congress in Chicago.

Stone opened the NMMA's Washington, D.C., office in the late 1980s, retiring from his position last year. He served as secretary of the ICOMIA Boating Facilities Committee when it was formed in 1991 and became chairman in 1997.
