G.G. Schmitt Names Business Unit Director

Marine hardware manufacturer G.G. Schmitt and Sons appointed Ross Kennedy its business unit director, the company said in a statement.

In 2019, Patrick Industries acquired G.G. Schmitt, which was founded in 1951 and is headquartered in Sarasota, Fla., with additional facilities in Summerville, S.C. The OEM manufacturer produces a wealth of aluminum and steel products, as well as seating.

Kennedy previously served as director of business development at Patrick-owned Marine Concepts, which provides design, engineering, milling and fabrication services. He will oversee the development and execution of business and financial strategies, as well as maintaining “positive employee relations,” the company said.
