G.G. Schmitt & Sons is a family-owned and operated business that was established in 1951. It employs 130 associates and serves the marine and rail transit industries.

“Kurt Bender has served as our director of engineering and development since 2011,” company president and CEO Ron Schmitt said in a statement.

“He has 20 years experience and a wealth of knowledge in marine manufacturing and boatbuilding technology. Kurt’s professionalism, organizational skills and company team building have proven to be paramount to the continued success and growth of our company and the quality stainless steel and aluminum products we design and manufacture.”
