Georgia boatbuilder being sold at auction

An auction is under way for the assets of Marine Manufacturing Corp. in Douglas, Ga.

The auction, at, includes four fiberglass boat lines: Clearwater Sportfishing Boats, Key Largo Sportfishing Boats, Cape Craft Sportfishing Boats and Clearwater-Caribbean Skiffs, with molds, production tooling, brand names, website domain names, dealers’ lists and related intangibles.

Also being sold are plant and manufacturing equipment, including fiberglass chopper-sprayers, epoxy dispensing machinery, air compressors, forklifts, boat delivery trailers, shop tools, racks and hoists.

Parts and supplies inventory, including aluminum and poly fuel tanks, marine compasses, safety kits, motor throttle controls, steering controls, lighting equipment, fasteners and fittings, as well as 35 fiberglass boats in various conditions and states of completion are being sold exclusively online.

Items will be available for inspection at the plant from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., June 10-13. Bidding will close at 2 p.m. (EDT) on June 14.
