Glendinning Marine Products has new owner

Orscheln Products LLC acquired a majority interest in Glendinning Marine Products.

Bob Orscheln, CEO of Moberly, Mo.-based Orscheln Products, said in a statement that John Glendinning will continue to serve as president of Glendinning Marine Products.

Glendinning, which is based in Conway, S.C., was founded in 1972 by Hylands Glendinning. During the last 27 years, sons Paul and John Glendinning have grown the company that develops and manufactures products for the marine industry.

Glendinning’s product lines include mechanical and electrical controls, such as shifters, throttles, synchronizers and actuators, as well as shore power, hose storage and retrieving devices found in its Cablemaster and Hosemaster product lines.

“Glendinning is a superb addition to the Orscheln Group and Orscheln’s line of products for the marine market,” Orscheln said in a statement. “Besides broadening our marine product line, Glendinning adds market share and solutions not only applicable to the marine industry, but also the industrial, agricultural, construction, heavy truck, military and rail industries.”
