Green Marine Summit set for October

The Association of Marina Industries is supporting the 2009 Green Marine Summit scheduled for Oct. 2-3 at Pier 66 in Fort Lauderdale.

Produced by the Florida Marine Contractor Association, the summit focuses on the development and implementation of reasonable, science-based "green marine" construction standards in four areas: green marine products; green marine contracting; green marine management practices and green marine consulting.

The summit will include seminars and workshops that build on the topics and issues discussed at the first Green Summit in 2008. Also, the event will feature an exhibit area with products and services that complement the summit's theme of sustainable, "green marine" construction.

Registration for AMI members is $100. To exhibit, the cost for AMI members is $1,000.
