Gurit signs supply contract

Gurit, a Switzerland-based global supplier of composite materials, engineering and technical solutions to the wind energy, transportation, tooling, marine and engineered structures markets, announced Tuesday a new supply contract from an existing customer.

Prototype deliveries are due to start now and series production will run from the fourth quarter of 2013 until the same quarter in the following year. It will support the expanding production output in Gurit’s automotive composite car body parts business in England.

“This project will be one of our customer’s most technically advanced vehicles and we are therefore extremely proud to support them with an equally advanced composite Class A technology,” Gurit Automotive managing director Martin Starkey said in a statement.
