Hacker Boat Co. announced the launch of the Evolution Collection, a line of mahogany powerboats that includes commuter, center console and Monaco models.
Each model can be customized to suit buyers’ needs.
“The beauty of our build process, working with mahogany and hand-applied fiberglass and epoxies, is that we are able to customize our designs without the impact of altering tooling,” COO Erin Badcock said in a statement.
The commuter model is a 37½-foot hardtop with twin inboards. The center console models will range from 30 to 35 feet and will be powered with outboards or inboards. The inboard-powered Monaco is built on a 40-foot hull with an open transom and has a cuddy cabin.
The expansion of the Hacker lineup was made possible in part because of a new facility in Queensbury, N.Y., that is 40 percent larger than the builder’s previous facility.
The new factory also enables the company “to attract new employees and make it easier for prospective customers to view and discuss purchasing a Hacker-Craft,” said president and CEO George Badcock.
