Hanse Yachts AG has renewed its contract with Judel/Vrolijk & Co., which will design all Hanse, Dehler and Varianta models for the next three years.

The signing was celebrated during Hanse’s annual dealer meeting at the yard facilities in Greifswald, Germany, on Wednesday evening.

"During its 25 year history Hanse Yachts AG has gained a well-deserved reputation for creating award-winning production sailing yachts that break boundaries with their cutting-edge designs,” Hanse Yachts CEO Jens Gerhardt said in a statement.

“We believe that Judel/Vrolijk & Co. is the perfect choice for our sailboat brands Hanse, Dehler and Varianta in developing outstanding serial production boats that combine great design with very good sailing characteristics. We are thrilled to have J/V as part of our team."

Founded by Rolf E. Vrolijk and Fietje Judel in 1978, Judel/Vrolijk & Co. designs high-caliber sailing yachts. As chief designer for the America’s Cup team Alinghi, Vrolijk played a decisive role in enabling a European yacht to win the world’s oldest and most prestigious sailing trophy for the first time.
