HP Watermakers Opens U.S. Location
Milan, Italy-based HP Watermakers is opening a warehouse in Fort Lauderdale, Fla., that will serve as a base for the United States, Canada, Mexico and the Caribbean.
“Many years ago, when the business was in its early days, I went to Viareggio [Italy] to see a possible customer,” company co-founder and sales manager Gianni Zucco said in a statement. “The first question I was asked was, ‘But who do you have in Fort Lauderdale?’ … Today I can say that I have achieved an important personal goal but also a major milestone for my company.”
HP Watermakers has supplier agreements with builders Azimut, Benetti, Absolute, Sanlorenzo, Alia, Bering and Majesty. The company says a large concentration of its products are in Florida and the Caribbean.
The company has developed a Part-NET interface — compatible with electronics from Raymarine, Garmin, Furuno, Simrad, B&G and Lowrance — that allows control of the desalination system from a multifunction display or a smartphone.
