IMBC will feature seminar on the economy

A seminar on the economy, presented by J. Antonio Villamil, a former U.S. undersecretary of commerce for economic affairs, will take place at the upcoming International Marina and Boatyard Conference, set for Jan. 25-28 in Fort Lauderdale.

Villamil will provide an outlook for 2009 and 2010 and concentrate on economic indicators that are important to the health of the marina industry, such as household income and net worth, the credit markets and the value of the U.S. dollar in the foreign exchange markets.

The seminar takes place at 1:15 p.m. Jan. 27 at the Fort Lauderdale Convention Center.
