IMI offers advanced training program in September

The International Marina Institute, subsidiary of the Association of Marina Industries, is offering its Advanced Marina Manager program from Sept. 22-27 in Dana Point, Calif., through a partnership with the California Association of Harbor Masters and Port Captains.

The Advanced Marina Manager program is the final step of training before certification. Completion of the course qualifies graduates to apply either for Certified Marina Management or Certified Marina Operator certification.

“Last year’s West Coast Intermediate Marina Management course was such a huge success that it was natural for us to now bring the AMM back to this region,” IMI training coordinator Kayce Florio said in a statement. “IMI is grateful for the support the California Harbor Masters and Port Captains Association provided in helping IMI to gain more traction in this region. This has allowed us to broaden our reach of our high-quality marina management training to this region, a win/win for everyone. We hope this is a partnership that will continue to strengthen in the years to come.”

The next IMI courses include an Intermediate Marina Management course in Fort Lauderdale from Nov. 10-14 and an Advanced Marina Manager program scheduled for Feb. 23-28. Registration is open for both of them.
