Industry veteran Betty Bauman launched a new division of her MetroMedia Marketing Inc. firm.

Bauman & Company will offer strategic marketing and public relations services for the marine, fishing and hospitality industries, including integrated planning and consultation, press release writing and distribution, print and online newsletters, social media, event planning, alliance marketing, positioning, branding and more.

The program that brought Bauman to national attention is "Ladies, Let's Go Fishing!," a series of fishing seminars held in conjunction with the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission.

With more than 5,000 graduates, LLGF's objective is to introduce women to fishing. Both Bauman and her seminar series - often dubbed "The No-Yelling School of Fishing" - are renowned nationally in the sportfishing, boating and marine industries.

Bauman has received three national awards: Woman of the Year by the American Sportfishing Association; one of the Top 21 Most Influential Marine Industry Leaders for the 21st Century by Boating Industry magazine; and one of the Top Women in American Boating by BoatU.S. magazine

Bauman holds a Bachelor of Science in marketing communications from Ohio University and has marketing experience in the cookware and cosmetic industries, as well as marketing and promotions experience for some of the world's largest boatbuilders. She is the publisher of the book, "Hurricane Andrew - The Big One," and has provided freelance writing for several marine publications.
