International Superyacht Society names officers and executive committee

The International Superyacht Society has announced its 2014 officers and executive committee.

Ken Hickling, global business development manager at Akzo Nobel, is the group’s new president; Dieter Jaenicke, chairman of Viking Recruitment, is vice president; Bransom Bean, founder of Fine Focus, is treasurer; and Rob Carron, an account executive at Willis Marine, is secretary.

The group’s executive committee includes the officers, a board representative and the past president. For 2014, the board representative is Norma Trease, director of the Salamanca Group’s Marine Division, and the past president is Bob Saxon, president of International Yacht Collection.

The ISS was founded in 1989 and it represents the large yacht industry. Its fundamental mission is to build alliances worldwide with regional associations; to serve as a communications conduit for issues affecting the marketplace, owners, crew and industry members; and to recognize achievement and provide educational opportunities and networking events.
