ISS names speakers for annual meeting

The International Superyacht Society announced panelists for its featured presentation topic, “World Adventures,” for the group’s annual Membership Meeting & Breakfast in Fort Lauderdale in October.

The program, moderated by Diane M. Byrne of MegayachtNews.com, will include panelists Jill Bobrow of Yachts International and Jill Bobrow Associates; Ken Hickling of AkzoNobel; Scott Lockman of Marsh; Billy Smith of Trinity Yachts; and Norma Trease of Salamanca Marine.

The ISS breakfast will be held from 8 to 10 a.m. Oct. 24 in the Grande View Room at the Bahia Mar in Fort Lauderdale.

Topics include:

• Brazil, China & Russia: Understanding the cultural challenges of each market

• What is Yachting — Knowledge versus Desire: how to educate a population about an in-demand luxury product and lifestyle that most have never seen nor experienced

• Brand Synergies/Collaboration: collaborating with other luxury-sector companies to gain exposure; evaluating sponsorship opportunities that involve competitors so that “the good of all can be achieved”

• Philanthropy and Safety: aligning your company with charitable organizations and emergency assistance organizations and encouraging your clients to do the same
