IYRS schedules two open-house events

The International Yacht Restoration School in Rhode Island will host open houses at its Newport and Bristol campuses this month.

The school will open the doors Tuesday to the public at its 5,000-square-foot facility at the Franklin Street Marine Corridor in Bristol. This facility is home to the school's marine systems and newly launched composites technology programs.

An open house is scheduled Wednesday at the school's Newport campus. The waterfront campus is home to the school's boatbuilding and restoration program.

IYRS staff and instructors will be on hand at both events to meet with potential students and answer questions about the school's marine training programs, admissions and financial aid.

Attendees also will be able to view demonstrations and student projects at both locales.
