IYRS sets annual summer gala

The International Yacht Restoration School will hold its 15th annual Summer Gala on July 7 at its Newport, R.I., campus.

Those who attend will see a showcase of IYRS students’ craftsmanship and a series of micro-exhibits that document the school’s achievements. In a film, attendees will hear directly from students, alumni and faculty about an IYRS education.

Two levels of tickets are available: 5:30 p.m. to midnight, for a cocktail reception, sit-down dinner, live and silent auctions and dancing ($375 a person); and 9 p.m. to midnight for cocktails, a dessert buffet, silent auction and dancing ($100 a person).
