Details of the transaction, which occurred in August, were not disclosed.

The owners of Jackson Marine Electronics are John Maier and John Pitman of Commercial Marine Electronics in Pompano Beach, Fla. and Gary Coltart and Patrick Shartran of Fairwinds Technical Services in St. Augustine, Fla.

Jacksonville, Fla.-based Jackson Electronics specializes in marine electronics for all sizes of pleasure boats and yachts, and commercial vessels. Don Strausser and Nuno Matta will continue to provide sales and service, while the new ownership will provide financial and technical support, the company said in a statement.
