Knox Marine Consultants opens South Carolina office


Knox Marine Consultants added a field office in Charleston, S.C., that David Hill will run, the company announced.

Hill, a full-time surveyor for the last 12 years, will provide damage survey services for the firm’s insurance company clients. He also has an extensive background in boat operation and repair and has delivered yachts, run charterboats, run an inland ferry and run the Charleston pilot boats.

With the addition of Hill in Charleston, Knox Marine now offers damage survey services throughout Virginia, the Carolinas and Georgia. Bill Patterson and Steve Knox, the company’s president and founder, work from company headquarters in Richmond, Va. Val Lippa provides damage survey services in the company’s Norfolk, Va. office.
