Bob Ivancic, of Ivancic Marine in Cleveland, was re-elected chairman of the board of the Lake Erie Marine Trades Association.

This is the third consecutive year that Ivancic has been tapped to head the 100-plus-member trade group. Founded in 1956, it represents boat dealers, marina operators and service companies across northern Ohio and annually produces four boat shows in Ohio and one in Indiana near Chicago.

Other officers elected were John Clemons (Clemons Boats, Sandusky), first vice chairman; Tom Mack (South Shore Marine, Huron), second vice chairman; Steve Magyar (Pier 58 Marine, Lorain); and Bill Schaeffer (Beaver Park Marine, Lorain).

Two new members were elected to the board of trustees — Todd Armstrong (Boat Masters, Akron) and John Schroeder (Happy Days Boating, Port Clinton) — to serve two-year terms.

They join current members Jim Armington (Buckeye Sports Center, Peninsula); Bob Lieblien (Holiday Harbor, Huron); John Sima (Sima Marine, Eastlake); and previous LEMTA chairman Bruce Roberts (Harbor North, Huron).

Bob Faflik (Marinas International, Sandusky and Port Clinton) was appointed special adviser to the board.
