Mad Mariner to manage ads for Panbo blog

Mad Mariner was contracted to manage advertising sales and placement for Panbo, a marine technology blog owned and edited by Ben Ellison.

Ellison is a longtime electronics editor for a variety of marine magazines. He has been editing the Panbo blog for the last four years.

“Managing the needs and desires of the companies that would like to advertise to the site’s 65,000 monthly readers is a full-time job that I am unable to truly give the attention it deserves,” Ellison said in a statement. “Glen Justice and his team at Mad Mariner have developed the most human-friendly and comprehensive Web advertising program I've ever seen, and I'm delighted that they will take over the sale, design and placement of all Panbo ads.”

Mad Mariner’s Justice says the partnership will ensure advertisers convenient access to the site and its readers, while allowing Ellison to focus on his editorial pursuits online and in print. Mad Mariner will roll out its new advertising platform — with full support for Panbo ads — this month.

Outside the advertising arena, Mad Mariner and Panbo will continue to operate independently.
