Marlin magazine said Andrew Cox will join the publication as senior editor on Monday.

Cox will lead field efforts and content creation for all Marlin channels, including print, web, social media and events.

A passionate offshore angler, Cox comes to Marlin with multiple years of experience in conservation outreach, fishery management and service on the Highly Migratory Species Advisory Panel to the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration. Most recently, he was the chief government affairs officer at The Billfish Foundation, where he is credited with fostering corporate partnerships and served in an outreach capacity.

He has been a contributing writer to Marlin magazine since 2013, focusing on the conservation column. His writings discussed fisheries policy and other international conservation matters affecting billfish, highly migratory species and the sportfishing industry as a whole.
