Maine designer will debut new yacht in June

Belfast, Maine-based Stephens Waring Yacht Design will unveil its latest design, the Rapture 42, at the Salon Privé in the United Kingdom.

The yacht represents the design house's first foray into the European production market, and it was created in collaboration with Patterson Boatworks, based in England. The vessel will be on display June 22-24 at the Patterson stand at the Salon Privé luxury supercar event and Concours d'Elégance at Syon Park, near London.

“Our combined vision was for raw and unique aesthetics while remaining classy and refined — much like a high-end sports car,” Paul Waring of Stephens Waring said in a statement.

Stephens Waring has specialized in yachts of modern wood construction since it was formed in 1960 by Joel White of the Brooklin Boat Yard.
