Manitou Pontoon Boats of Lansing, Mich., is hiring representatives and seeking dealers to position itself for future growth when the economy recovers.

For 25 years, the pontoon manufacturer has steadily grown under the private ownership of one family. In recent years, Manitou received national recognition for its patent pending V-Toon Hull and has been recognized by several organizations for excellence in customer satisfaction.

"Our conservative business model for growth and numerous competitive advantages have positioned Manitou to not only survive this downturn, but to grow intelligently when the uptick begins," said Scott VanWagenen, president of Manitou, in a statement.
