Marinas.com purchased Geowake.com, an online charting source, as part of its plan to provide boaters and business owners solutions across the web and mobile platforms, the company announced.

"The mission is to continue the success of Geowake.com with products that are innovative and engaging for active boaters, who remain the driving force behind our ongoing commitment to deliver new tools and benefits to boaters," Marinas.com said in a statement.

Founders Wayne Gaskill and Robert Dickerson will stay on as part of the new Geowake team.
