Marine Connection has added a dealership in Islamorada, bringing its total of full service locations in the Sunshine State to five.

Located at 80461 Overseas Highway/Mile Marker #86, the new Marine Connection is part of the upcoming Angler’s House Marina & Club, which is a recently merged two-marina, full service operation that has undergone a $2 million renovation. The Islamorada facility joins Marine Connection dealerships in West Palm Beach, Miami, Fort Lauderdale and Vero Beach.

“We are extremely pleased to announce the official opening of our new Keys sales operation in what is arguably the premier sportfishing capitol of the world,” said John Kutuk, partner and co-owner with Danny Goldenberg, of Marine Connection, in a statement. “For boaters seeking a high-end marina experience, our new facility offers it all including a protected bayside location with quick ocean access, plus close proximity to popular local boating and sandbar locations. With so many boat dealerships situated between Key Largo and Marathon on US-1, customers have the opportunity to experience and compare different dealerships. We are excited to now offer the Marine Connection advantage.” Tommy Brashares, a 10-year boating industry veteran, is the sales manager at the new location.

Kutuk said he expects to generate $3 million in sales. The dealership will carry two sportfishing brands including Cobia, which has boats ranging from 20 to 34 feet, and Sportsman, which offers boats from 17 to 31 feet. The dealership will also have used and brokered inventory.

“We enthusiastically welcome Marine Connection to the Anglers House Marina & Club,” said Victor Ballestas, marina owner/operator. “Marine Connection has an outstanding reputation for both sales and service within the national boating industry and provides a highly valuable consumer deliverable we didn’t previously offer, which rounds out our full-service marina capability.”

The new marina facilities cover 12 acres with 35 wet slips and 250 new dry stack storage units. The property also has a private club with a pool, onsite gas and diesel, a 2,000 square-foot tiki hut for private functions and a full-service bar.

In addition to the Marine Connection retail operation, the complex includes an onsite boat service location, scuba and spearfishing services, kayak and paddleboard rentals and access to 37 independent charter captains.
