Marine Dealer Technologies hires industry veteran

Industry veteran Van Snider will join the Marine Dealer Technologies LLC team to assist with the marketing and sales of digital services and automated tools.

After 20 years as president of the Michigan Boating Industries Association, Snider retired in December 2010, according to Marine Dealer Technologies.

"As a boating industry trade association executive for 28 years, I have always enjoyed helping marine businesses improve and prosper,” Snider said in a statement. “I look forward to working with the Marine Dealer Technologies team, exposing manufacturers and dealers to the various programs MDT offers to improve their operations and profitability.”

Snider, as an independent consultant, will help market Marine Dealer Technologies services to expose more manufacturers and dealers to Marine Dealer Technologies's Web-based programs, which are designed to increase lead generation, improve sales closing rates, make warranty processes more efficient and enhance inventory control.

"Van has an extensive and diverse industry background, which includes selling yachts, managing boat dealerships and marinas, as well as managing two well-known marine industry trade associations — South Florida and Michigan,” Marine Dealer Technologies president Kris Thayer said in a statement. “We are excited to have Van assist in expanding the MDT network to more boat manufacturers and dealers to help them improve their efficiencies and profitability.”
