Marine expo will address storm water, pressure washing

The Connecticut Marine Trades Association will hold its annual Marine Trades Expo Sept. 30 at WoodWinds in Branford, Conn.

The event is geared toward owners and operators of marinas, yacht clubs, dockominiums, boatyards, boat repair and maintenance facilities, and other facilities engaged in vessel bottom pressure-washing activities.

The expo will offer two components: informative segments and a trade show.

The informative segment includes storm water permitting and pressure washing. Each topic will cover definitions, Department of Environmental Protection authority and types of permits.

The trade show will run from noon to 8 p.m.

The fee for exhibiting at the expo is $150, which includes lunch and dinner buffet for one; additional meal tickets are available for $45 per person. The fee for attendees is $45 for CMTA members and $65 for non-members.
