Marine insurer adds to crewed yacht coverage

Maritime Program Group launched an excess protection and indemnity facility specifically designed for crewed luxury yachts.

The new program is being offered through Navigators Insurance Co.

"We created this new excess facility in response to our brokers' requests for additional capacity in this particular market segment," said John Sterling, vice president of ocean marine for Maritime Program Group, in a statement.

This new excess product is an expansion of Maritime Program Group's underwriting program with Navigators Insurance.

Maritime Program Group is a program administrator that provides marine insurance products and underwriting services to its broker network throughout the United States.
